Its totally established that I'm a foodie. I've grown every year to love and appreciate food.
My appreciation for food does not ends with eating, I love to cook too.
Recently we (me and my wife) tried a new recipe for a Chocolate Pudding.
It comes from the books of my in-laws.
Its zimply awesome and you should try too.
Ingredients (serves 6) :
Chocolate : 150 gms (Plain chocolate slab or any plan dark chocolate. If chocolate slabs are not available, then you can use Yochelle's plain dark chocolate)
Fresh Cream : 400 gms
5-6 Digestive biscuits
5-6 Chocolate cream biscuits
Sugar : Hardly 3 tea spoons.
The best and easiest part is making it. Read TnT as "Tips and Tricks"
1. Melt 150 gms of chocolate. TnT - do not over heat it, else it won't taste good.
Melt it just enough so that it becomes semi-solid. If melting it in a Microwave, then just do it for 20 seconds couple of times.
2. Add approx 100gms of fresh cream to this melted chocolate.
3. In a separate bowl whip the cream with 3 tea spoons of sugar.
TnT - keep the cream in chiller / freezer to make it absolutely chilled (and not frozen). If the cream is chilled, it whips better.
Whip it in a container surrounded by ice (so that the container stays cold). This will make the cream even more fluffy after whipping.
4. Add the chocolate+cream mixture to this freshly whipped cream.
5. Mix it well.
6. In a flat serving dish put a layer of crushed (really minced) digestive biscuits. This will be layer 1 (from the bottom of course)
7. Pour the mixture of cream and chocolate on top of it. Layer 2.
8. Remove the cream from the chocolate cream biscuit and crush (only the biscuit) them as well.
Sprinkle generously over the cream and chocolate layer to form layer 3.
Keep it in refrigerator for 30 mins / till serving time.
Serve chilled.
It'll be a hit.
This entire activity of preparation and making does not takes more than 15-20 mins.
It was a very nice experience making this pudding. Since we have come to know the recipe, we've made it twice.
If you try it, don't forget to leave a comment about its taste or your experience.
Happy eating Chocolate Pudding :)
